Nahzatullah Reyazat is an expert lawyer and researcher based in Afghanistan. He is also a member of the Afghanistan Independent Bar Association. He has more than ten years of experience practising law and specialises in human rights and family law related matters, with extensive knowledge of representing and advocating for appellants in Afghan courts. Nahzatullah has also worked with NGOs in Afghanistan as a legal advisor and Human Rights Defender. He has also assisted NGOs in conducting research as well as monitoring and evaluating their projects on human rights. In addition to his substantial experience in Afghan law, he has also worked at the community level as a conflict mediator.

Nahzatullah holds a BA in law and political science from Kabul University, Afghanistan and has successfully completed law and judiciary training. He also has completed short-term training programs from several organisations, such as the Human Rights Institute and Afghanistan Centre for Commercial Dispute Resolution (ACDR). He is multilingual, with excellent fluency in Dari, Pashto, and English.
